It has begun again .. this most biggest drama, the one time when I don't mind changing all priorities upside down .. the one time when I miss being in India the most :(
This World cup like all others is already slated to be the best before and after its times and for more reasons than I can name !!.......... Its probably the last WC where the immortal Master plays ..... Its being hosted and played in India ...... Its the last WC for other mortal gr8s like Murli, Ponting ....... Till next worldcup millions in India who have confused sachin with cricket might have diverted from cricket and would hook on to the other games that are now catching up back home........ or for that matter we might even win it !!
A sudden post from a much silent than before blog .. because it is appearing that India is no longer the side with any special advantages any more .... anything can happen now .. booooaaahhhh :)
With teams like Bangladesh and Netherlands making 290+ in their matches and England giving India run for their money even after scoring 338 .. its clear that good batting is just going to take you as far.
We at least had Kumble, Agarkar, Irfan Pathan to do something last time. I think probably someone is to be blamed that not many bowlers were given a chance in the last couple years and we have no one to look upto as 3rd ,4th or 5th bowler. Nevertheless whats bygone is bygone.
Taking quick singles each time and raising the fielding bar is all that we can do to cover the pitiful balling attack .. and may we get great spinning tracks for all the imp matches !!
P.S:
Being an Indian and belonging to a generation when the Master himself played the game .. I am entitled to my expert opinion on this .. if you are as well .. then you know what I mean :)
