Knowing about Gold can earn you Silver !!

Knowing that your country is the largest consumer of Gold can earn you silver coins! Yes thats true !!

Thurs 19th Aug, we were busy celebrating my farewell party -link; playing darts, eating unhealthy food and cracking sad jokes :). All of sudden Ro Omrow takes out a silver coin from his wallet and starts playing with it. Here's the conversation:

Me: Ah thats a cool coin. Looks like you buy antique stuff.
Ro: Yeah I buy precious metals :). You are an Indian , you should be buying a lot of them!. In fact, I also bought some when I visited Pune.
Me: Nah.. normally Indians tend to buy jewellery; no coins or bars. Though India remains the largest consumer of Gold!
Ro: No .. China is ! India was, but not any more. I buy them so I know it!
Me: No I recently read an article and India was few days back.
Ro: Oh Bet .. what do you want to bet .. how much
Me: mmm ... anything ..
Ro: Okay this silver coin. I have an Iphone .. lets check !!

And thats how I won a Silver Coin, due to this -linkarticle I read !. Next day Ro bought me a nice Centennial -link Canadian Silver Coin from 1967 :) . That day I learnt 2 things about Ro:
1] He is a man of his word
2] He looses bets to me :)
