As per my yerterday's post I started getting ready to start my journey and the first thing I did was check in to my flights online. This normally saves you some time and hassles.
I discovered that my flight were gonna be delayed and Delta offered me to book an alternate flight with 1 stop instead of direct. It wasn't that bad [yet],since I got a flight later in the day so I would not have to get early in the morning any more YAY!! [Isn't it suppose to be a vacation !!] . So I booked the alternate flight to discover, that the other flight got delayed aswell. Moreover their website showed only half the journey in my itinerary. Damn !!
I called up customer care which had the message "due to extreme weather conditions we cannot take ur call". Interestingly the place I was flying from and to had extremely nice weather .. so no idea which part of the world their customer care is sitting !! . Finally I did a live chat with customer care to get that resolved and she promised I am all set. This took all my packing time and I slept late eventually :(
Today morning I learnt from a friend that I need to carry one more document to pass the immigration. So I hastily searched all over the place again and again to get that document. I was almost going to cancel the flight since I was not able to find it !!. The entire exercise left me sleep deprived, an hour late as per my planned scheduled and an owner of a house which was in a mess :(. To add to that I got lost a multiple times before I took the correct train to the "Tacoma" airport. The train stopped at a station called taxoma or something. I got down to realize it was something else with very similar name !!. Jumped back in train with my luggage.
While checking in , learnt that Delta conveniently canceled my itinerary !!. So they had to book me a different flight which was 4 hours later [but a direct one!!] . So finally here I am at the airport waiting to board my flight. Something tells me more adventures to follow !!
P.S:
I hope my plane doesn't get intercepted Santa and his sleigh pulled by reinders on the way ..
