IE9 ..

Having made the buzz that it can take advantage of multi-core CPU's to compile java-script blah blah ..I gave IE9 beta a shot ..

As usual, its sluggish !!. I guess its the only browser that needs a OS restart to install !! so it definitely doesn't plug in directly to Windows !

It kept asking me 100 things; this action might not be safe, do you want to allow this..blah blah ... Same like Vista !!. I believe, if you think internet is full of bad boys that can harm my computer .. just handle them and keep them out; why ask me for all the options on each page load !!. It felt like a web course, going through DNS, now recurring DNS yes/no?, now authentication yes/no? .. you finally loose interest of going to the website !!

It repeatedly asked me the same preferences for diff pages on the same website !!! Seriously ..cant you remember my preferences .. I logged to gmail and refreshed 3-4 times .. each time it asked me if I want to load only the safe content..

I clicked on things in gmail and would literally wait for secs before the click is noticed and action performed !! I mean even the client side scripts which are inherently faster !! so much for taking advantage of multiple cores !!

Now I don't know if the sluggishness was due to Windows7, however Firefox performed much better. I agree it consumes resources ..but it works !!

Overall, yet again a disappointed product from MS. If they release it in this state, people might not give IE a second shot in the future, no matter how good the product might be !!

The only software's I liked from MS are : Visual Studio, XP, Excel

I heard that one of the famous prof at a Univ always says "God Bless Microsoft !!"
